YOUTH BASKETBALL
NATIONAL TOURNAMENT 2007
Dear Coach,
Mid
Am
eric
a
Youth Basketball is proud to announce the 10th
year anniversary of our National Tournament in 2007.
In these 10 years the tournament has grown to an event of over 700 teams.
We are proud of our growth and hope to continue to provide you with
competition and a fun filled weekend of basketball.
Our boys’ event will once again be centered in
Wichita
,
KS
with Championship games played at the new Koch
Arena on the campus of
Wichita
State
University
. We
are currently working to expand and improve our gym quality with the new
facilities in the Goddard community.
Girls’ will again play in OK.
3rd-6th girls will once again play in
Stillwater
,
OK
with games on the campus of
Oklahoma
State
and
Stillwater
HS gyms. 7th-12th
grade girls will play in
Edmond
and
Oklahoma City
. Championship
games in those divisions will be played at
Oklahoma City
University
. (*100%
of girls’ gyms should be air conditioned in 2007)
All divisions will have awards for 1st-8th
place and a consolation bracket with awards.
Many teams will have 7-8 games played for the weekend.
Our goal has always been to provide the most court time as possible for
the kids. We are aware costs are
always going up and hope to keep things as affordable as possible for teams.
This has always been a goal of our program.
With travel expenses as high as ever, we hope we have created an
environment that is affordable for all teams.
By only playing 3-4 days we cut the expenses of 5-6 day events in half.
Our entry fee of only $275 is well below levels of $450 or more for the
same number of games. Our gate fees
of $12 adult passes is less than half the normal gate fees for National level
events. Now, Wild West World and
Frontier
City
are not Disney World, and there may not be as
much to do as some places, but we believe we create an excellent atmosphere to
play basketball. (and that is why
everyone is there!)
Last year we had teams from 25 states and
Canada
present for the event, giving it a true National
feel. We hope to have over 30 states
represented in 2007. If you have any
questions please feel free to contact us via email or phone.
316-284-0354 is our phone and our general email address is mayb@mayb.com.
You can also visit our website at www.mayb.com
to register online or get general information.
Our staff is on duty from
8am-5pm
during all weekdays to assist you in anyway
possible.
We hope to see you August 2-5 at Nationals in 2007.
Thanks for all your support.
